High-blockage corrections for circular arcs at transitional Reynolds numbers

Model-scale testing might suffer from blockage effects due to the finite dimensions of test section. Measurements must be corrected predict forces that would have been measured in unconfined conditions. Blockage corrections are well-established for streamlined and bluff bodies, while more data is needed develop bodies generate both high lift large wakes. In this work, towing tank water tunnel tests two-dimensional circular arcs employed a correction ratio, i.e. ratio frontal area geometry cross-sectional section, up 0.2477. Experiments conducted at positive incidences between ideal angle attack deep-stall transitional Reynolds numbers 53 530 218 000. The results show linear can devised whole range tested ratios.
